Caroline Scism
Caroline has played at numerous weddings since 2001. She has played at various events, such as church services, retirement dinners, and birthday parties along with service work at adult enrichment centers and hospice across Tennessee and North Carolina. Caroline has a Music degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and and a Master of Music degree in Harp Pedagogy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
Caroline's classical training for orchestral work began with her participation in University of North Carolina's Symphony Orchestra where she was principal harpist. While at UNC, Caroline was part of the 2012 American Prize-winning performance of Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances. She continued her studies at Belmont University, performing with the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. She has also played in the Young Artists Harp Seminar, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and Hot Springs Music Festival along with community ensembles Chapel Hill Philharmonia, Triangle Youth Philharmonic, Jackson Symphony, and was principal harpist in the Nashville Philharmonic from 2013 to 2022.
